As I Start My Day
Holy God, help me remember that Jesus cried. Jesus felt hungry. Jesus felt thirsty. Jesus felt sleepy. Jesus got angry. Jesus was abandoned. Jesus was betrayed. Jesus was tempted. Jesus knows how I feel because he lived it first. There will always be trials and tribulations in my life, but you, God, will carry me through every storm. Guide me and give me strength this day, Amen.
As I Travel Through My Day
Holy God, help me live the meaning of Easter in all I do. Easter means an empty tomb, Amazing grace. my Savior risen, Trust renewed, Everlasting hope, and I am Redeemed by love, Amen. (adapted from Mindful Christianity)
As I Finish My Day
Holy God, thank you for this day. As I prepare to sleep, may I rest in your grace. Ease my restless mind. Calm my thoughts to allow sleep to cradle me. Step into my dreams to make them peaceful. Help me prepare through rest for the coming of tomorrow where you will lead me once again, Amen.
